I think that Regional Championships are VERY important and I think it
should be the responsibility of the Regional Co-ordinators to make sure
they happen. For those regions without and RC in post, maybe the onus does
fall back onto Director of Competitions to co-opt someone local to the
region to make sure that they happen.

Come on people! Get your arses in gear. There are many fine examples of
keen players who took the big step and organised their first event - why
shouldn't you be the next to follow in their footsteps? As Si Hill has
indicated, he and others are only too willing to help and advise if they
can.

Me? ... I'm a bit busy with the BFDF to organise an event, but I have
organised one or two events in the past and I can attest that afterwards
you get a real sense of achievement - the effort is well worth it!
