If this has already been said, my apologies, but I read the archive
rather then get all the individual email messages.

Another problem with the tour that should be considered is the
geographical spread of the tournaments. Look at this year: Hitchin,
Leicester, Swindon, Southhampton, Exeter. Two south-east venues, two
south-west, and one in the more southern end of the Midlands. Also,
Southhampton and Exeter were within two weeks of each other. This
obviously has an effect on the more northen teams.

We don't mind travelling south (in fact, if you know Sneeeky's, you know
we revel in having travelled furthest to get to a tournament) but only
in some sort of moderation. If Sneeeky's had been able to play at four
or five Tour tournaments, we would have had a chance of making it to
Nationals (probably seeded about last, but that's not the point). As it
was, we had to give up after two, and that's with having a sizeably
group of non-student players.

Anyway, my point is, we come south to play, but a few more chances to
play in at least the Midlands would be nice (I know this depends on who
bids to host the Tour). It wouldn't hurt some of you to come further
north than Leicester a bit more often.
