Personally I think it is insulting and deflating if the stronger team just
takes is easy and obviously is just fooling around. Any point scored or
good D makes you think "oh yeah well they weren't
really trying anyway". I agree that you have achieved an appropriate 
balance at least
from my experience playing against Shotgun. The occasional coaching on the
pitch is appreciated but letting us score etc. does not give us a sense of
achievement or a chance to improve our game.
