Hi Colin
Hi BritDisc people

Okay, I should probably explain what's happening. The Village Indoors
takes place on the 29th and 30th of November. We have only the one hall
and so to give everyone a reasonable amount of playing time we've had to
restrict it to twelve teams.

Plans for a Village tournament have been kicking around for about a year,
when our esteemed leader, Stu Clark, suggested that it really was about
time we organised an event to say thank you to all those teams which have
invited us to their tournaments each year.

So the Village Indoors is, for the time being, invitation only. To fill
the tournament up and overlook those teams we "owe" a tournament to would
be criminal, and we would deserve to get our heads kicked in by those
teams.

Invitations have gone out. If the tournament is not full by the middle of
next week then we will happily extend the invitation to all and sundry.
More invitations have gone out than there are slots available, so even if
you're invited, it's no *guarantee* that you'll get in.

It's been terribly hard to decide who to invite - there are so many teams
and players out there who've become really good friends, we'd like to be
able to invite everyone. But sadly there's no way we can do it.

Time was when you could throw a twelve-team tournament and have trouble
filling it. How things change. It's all good though.

Further evidence that we need more tournaments, I think.

And yes, I'm Village Indoors TD.

Rumours of the death of indoor Ultimate have, evidently, been greatly
exaggerated.
