I agree with Aaron (Alien Nation), Alex (Mwnci See/UTI) and Wee Jim
(Sneeeky's). This rule is not going to help Ultimate grow and we should
be trying to raise the student standard rather than limit it. Let the
best players play and the best team win.

Also many postgrads have put so much effort into setting up new
teams and this will only continue to happen if they can play at the
Student tournaments themselves.

Si said "In fact, the idea for this rule came mostly from Southampton
where Dave Murray and Sonic in particular (they may care to agree...?)
felt that a few experienced players could dominate the tournaments, (and
had been doing so for some years - and they should know - they've been
to most (all?) of them in the last 6 or 7 years I believe.)"

To get over the problem of GB/very good players greatly improving
student teams. If people like Dave and Sonic believe that they are
giving an unfair advantage to their team, then they can always choose to
NOT play at the Student tournaments !
