Harry raises a valid point, but as I see it we're in the unfortunate
position of the Tour having nearly hijacked the outdoor season, with
very few nonTour events to play in (in 1997).

Hopefully 1998 will see the addition of a few more nonTour events in
which we'll see plenty of teams entered (anybody thinking about holding
tournaments for the weekend of Rotterdam? or when the GB teams are away
for Worlds? There are plenty of people who'd like to play!) and the
opportunities for Women's and Juniors teams at these events will
increase.

Until we get confirmation that these opportunities will arise, however,
the Juniors and Womens GB squads need somewhere to hone their skills and
teamwork for Europeans/Worlds - in my view the Tour provides these
opportunities at the moment (OK, the opposition is a bit different, but
if the Juniors or Women finished top 8 in the Tour, they should be doing
OK for Worlds!).

We're still in the development stages of the Tour (it's only the second
run!) - maybe we should get the nonTour events up and running too, and
then decide where Juniors and Womens teams can play...
