Richard Griffith of Canada set up the first (worldwide) Ultimate mailing
list about one year before rec.sport.disc was set up and his list still is
running. However, it only acts as a relay between rec.sport.disc and its
subscribers. Therefore it no longer is a strict "Ultimate" mailing list, as
disc golfers also regularly post in r.s.d.

So, if you do not have access to news, subscribe to Rich's list. You will
receive all r.s.d. posts (which can be quite a lot on busy days) in digest
form. Here is more information from one of the recent digests:
---------------------------------------------------------------
This is an <ultimate@doe.carleton.ca> mailing list batch forward of messages
from the USENET newsgroup rec.sport.disc devoted to the discussion of flying
disc based sports.

To send to the list use the address <ultimate@doe.carleton.ca>, which will
normally be a reply to this message. Edit your reply to remove any extra
material.

To join this mailing list send a message to <ultimate-request@doe.carleton.ca>
containing a line of the form
SUBSCRIBE ultimate your@mailing.address.here

--------------------------------------------------------------

But, since r.s.d. really is US dominated I recommend news access.

Regards,
Thomas
