I'm tempted not to do this... but its bound to backfire on me if
I don't.

If you need to get in touch with me about anything relating to the tour
I am nipping off to Devon for the week.
I won't be able to read my email - so its phone or shouting I'm afraid.

My parents phone number is: 01237 474739.

I'm sure there won't be any problems tho'.

Here is the current tour situation:

Swindon: we WILL have 32 teams. (So Fingers 6 and Bliss: you can ignore
previous messages about possibly not having a place.)
I believe that info will be arriving with your team contacts soon.

Birmingham: sorry about the delay with details for this event - but things
are nearly sorted now. In any case, 25+ teams have already sent a deposit
for what was planned as a 24-team event. I have been talking to Charlie
and he is trying to make it possible to increase the numbers. I expect we will
go to 28 at least. (We may even be able to do this on the 8 planned-for
pitches.)
Charlie is hoping to be at Swindon.

Southampton. Again, this is another 8-pitches tourney I think.
Again, something like 24 teams have already paid deposits.
We'll look into increasing the capacity for this one too -
altho' I doubt we'll be able to go past 28.

Exeter is bigger - I doubt there'll be any probs there at all.
(I think 23 teams had paid deposits at the last count!)

*****************************************************************************
REMEMBER:
for all teams that pay DEPOSITS before the deposit-closing date the system
for deciding who gets in is NOT only first-come-first-served. So its still
very possible to get into the tour events simply by paying your deposit
in time. The system for working out who gets automatic places, etc is
described in the rules, which your team capt has, but are also to be found at
http://www.phidelta.demon.co.uk/u8-98/
along with several other handy bits of info!

ANYONE who doesn't pay deposit by the closing date MAY get into the
tournament - but only on a first-come first-served basis (no matter
who you are!)

Paying the TD earlier will not help you get in - but it is much appreciated.
In any case, the TD SHOULD BE PAID BY THE CLOSING DATE,
(unless you have made specific arrangements with the TD to do something else,
eg student teams who are hard up for cash will be allowed to pay on the day -
but speak to the TD).
*****************************************************************************

Thanks to pretty much everyone re- paying deposits and especially for
paying tourney entry fees. It *really* is a big help to TDs.

Thats it... tour newsletter coming soon...

See you in Swindon!
