British Ultimate Federation Ultim8 Tour 1998
Twin Peaks @ Event II

As a result of Layout Dreams (TD) decision to truncate the results of the
Saturday pool games, the calculations for a 3 way tie relegated Twin Peaks to
the 21-24 RoundRobin, rather than progressing them to the 13-20 Knockout.

Twin Peaks have registered an Official Complaint with the Tournament Directors,
which has been referred to the Ultim8 Committee (U8C). Simon Hill (BUF Director
of Competitions, U8 Tour Director) requested that he not be included in the
discussions as he has a vested interest in the outcome.

The remainder of U8C have carefully reviewed the decision made by Layout Dreams
to truncate the results, and the calculations involved. U8C agrees that the
decision has had an adverse effect on Twin Peaks progress, both in Event II and
the Tour as a whole, and that some recompense should be made.

U8C have decided that Twin Peaks POINTS should be adjusted to that appropriate
for their qualifying for the 13-20 Knockout, but not winning any further games,
i.e. finishing 20/32, for which 65 points are awarded. Twin Peaks recorded
finishing POSITION for the Event, however, will not be adjusted.

This decision shall be effective immediately, and the Event Results and Tour
Rankings adjusted accordingly.

To summarise:
Twin Peaks are awarded 65 points for finishing 23/32 at Event II;
These points shall be used in the calculation of Twin Peaks overall Tour
Ranking, and for Seeding at future Events.

A full report will be available to anybody who'd like to read it, upon request.
