After the recent WSJ article about the Spirit of the Game in
America let me give an example of the other side of things....

In Rotterdam I'm going to play with an American team which has
been cobbled together from all over the place (with a strong
Philadelphia Rage/Peppers emphasis.) Most of the team organisation
has been done via email.

Our chief honcho has just sent an email describing how European teams
tend to come up with cheers after the match (not something that
happens much in the States) and sing team songs. The message had
attachments with it which turned out to be music files so that we
could practice the team song at home to be ready before we go to the
tourney!!! How's that for taking the lighter side of Ultimate
seriously.

Harry
Chevvy (who usually come up with some kind of team cheer which we
seem to understand/enjoy far more than any of our opposition.)

PS For those of you going to Rotterdam this message is not intended
to suggest that our team song is actually going to be any more
tunefull than anyone elses!
