Good to see people do have an opinion on this issue.
However, I would like to make a clarification which should make further
discussion more relevant.
I am not suggesting splitting Ultimate into men's and women's and completely
abolishing mixed.  On the contrary, if women (and men come to that) want to
play open/mixed ultimate then I think they should.  I am merely suggesting
that there may be advantages in providing more options, one of which is
women's ultimate, another of which is slight amendments/variations to mixed
ultimate as it stands now.
