Matters Arising

Simon Moore has reported further changes to coaching scheme introducing new
qualifying for level 1 and level 2 with Coach Mentors to be appointed from
the more experienced pool of level 2 coaches to train more level 1
wannabies. David Grayson is to be sent details ASAP for publishing and to
generate awareness amongst player base.

Development Working Group

10 people responded to Mark Jefferson's request for the formation of the
group. Dave Mackay has set up a forum for the exchange of ideas which has
begun enthusiastically. Many well thought out and constructive ideas have
already been put up for consideration, and the first meeting took place
with some of the group on Saturday 9 May. MJ to maintain momentum and begin
to bring focus to this group, then report back progress at the next BFDF
meeting in July.

Following a good response from Brit Disc to MJ's suggestion of a DDC
tournament during August, and with the on-going Ultimate and Golf
programmes, the BFDF sees a need for a tournament to initiate and promote
individual skills. The decision was taken to host an individual national
open tournament which will find an overall BFDF National Individual
Champion. Suggested events include distance, Maximum Time Aloft andThrow,
Run & Catch. A tournament director will be sought to organise the
competition.

Dissemination of information

Dave Neilson will speak to Jo Pears about the delays incurred in forwarding
mail from the P.O. Box in Leicester. This creates problems occasionally
when short response times are necessary. Ways will be sought to shorten the
chain while the information held by some organisations will be changed to
direct mail to the home address of the individual concerned.

The BFDF web site is still struggling to get off the ground. The decision
was made to appoint an Electronic Communications Officer ASAP to organise
and maintain the information. A Members Only section of the site will
contain, amongst other things, electronic versions of the Handbook, an
archive of minutes and resolutions, details of the Coaching Scheme (with a
breakdown of the qualifications required for each level) copies of up to
date rules etc. etc.

Financial Update

Steve Kennedy has been asked by DN to prepare a financial report for the
meeting which had not arrived. Some concern was expressed about the lack of
financial information available and DN was asked to contact SK again and
get some figures distributed amongst the group ASAP.

Leaflets/Promotional Activities

Andy Hughes has had to admit defeat in fixing meetings with disc
manufacturers. An alternative approach is underway and samples of the
leaflets along with covering letters will be sent out.

Leo James to be asked for current version of his work to date and an
electronic copy supplied for adaptation to web based publication.

AOB

BFDF Annual Dinner still not finalised. DN to ask for organiser on BritDisc
so that a venue can be arranged for mid to late November.

AH announced that he will not be available for re-election at the AGM in
September and will stand down as Secretary of BFDF.

The date of the next meeting was set for 16 July - agenda items for this
meeting required by 9 July.
