Hi All.

Here's my attempt at a reply to the Time Out article for you PR
types to rip apart. I haven't posted it and I await peoples comments
before I do anything with it.

Dear Editor,

They say any publicity is good publicity but judging by Peter Paphides
output "Stop This Frisbee Madness" the same cannot be said for journalism.

According to Peter, I and several thousand other British men and women are
little short of idiots in designer clothes bent on wasting other peoples
park space.

I spend a lot of time playing and promoting Ultimate Frisbee which is an
extremely demanding athletic field sport with elements similar to soccer
and basketball. In fact, it so impressed your colleagues that it was
included in a Time Out A-Z of sport a few months back.

This kind of reactionary nonsense 'journalism' is devastating stuff for
people trying to introduce a bit of variety into the quagmire of
money-driven ball sports which we are forced to endure these days.

Have a laugh at people enjoying alternative sports if you must, but please
do not indulge in character assassination and please bother to research
the article.

More (accurate) information on Ultimate can be found on the Internet at
http://www.ultimateweb.co.uk/buf/.

Yours faithfully

Ben Ravilious
