Unfortunately the Junior Outdoors 1998 on 27/28 June has been cancelled. I'm
afraid that this is due to lack of interest and support from junior teams. I
don't want to get angry with them all, there have been very valid reasons as
to why some of them can't make it, but it would be nice to know as early as
possible if they can't come. With only eight days to go I have still only
heard from ten teams, five of them not able to make it, and all five letting
me know in the past three days when I sent out invites 8 weeks ago. (Is that
too early?!) Its a bit of a pain when the food, pitches, trophies and orders
of play have all been arranged. Thats a lot of time and money wasted.

Can I make an appeal to all teams, and I know I'm guilty myself, to let
organisers know if they are NOT going to enter a tournament. This isn't a
problem for big tournaments like the Tour, but for 'little' tournaments it
is vital for the organisation to go smoothly. Has anyone else had this problem?

If we can only get 5 teams to a junior tournament (2 of those teams were
mine!) then what is going to happen to junior Ultimate?
