Hi all,

Well, Southampton was great this year.

Here are some results (the only ones I remember, I'm afraid):

1. UTI
2. Druids
3. Some Maroon
4. Mr Men
....
9. Chevron Action Flash (Plate winners)
10. Harlem

Spirit - Bears

The Plate final was by far the most exciting game of the weekend. Harlem
had had a diasppointing weekend, and had already been beaten by Chevron
earlier in the day. Here was a chance for their revenge. The game was close
throughout, and Chevron made some great bids to keep the upper hand. It
came down to sudden death when Chevron had the disc, and showing great
patience they worked it into the zone for a deserved win.

The final didn't provide as great a spectacle as the plate final, mainly
because the Druids did not get themselves together at the game's outset.
Although they rallied back after being 9-2 (or was it 9-3) down, to 9-6,
they had unfortuantely left it too late, and UTI emerged the deserved
winners of the tournament.

A great tourny, and I think everyone had a great time. Except maybe Morning
Wood, who had more injuries than the rest of the teams put together - I
hope you're all feeling okay!

Thanks to the Skunks and all involved in organising the tourny,

Andy C

Chevron Action Flash (playing with Some Maroon for the weekend, though)
