Hi!

This e-mail is to apologise to all the teams and individuals who were
involved in the British National Open Finals in Cheltenham last
weekend.

I am the captain of the Shooting Stars Ultimate team, and I wish to
apologise for our failure to either show up, or confirm that we
would be unable to attend. I am deeply sorry that we could not
attend what was surely one of the biggest events on the British
Ultimate calendar. A combination of bad timing, and extremely bad
luck, meant that although we wanted to attend, and would have been
extremely proud to represent Scotland in some small capacity, we
were unable to do so.

I would hope that my actions over the past week do not reflect badly
on either the Shooting Stars team, or Scottish Ultimate as a whole.
Captaincy is a learning curve for me, but courtesy is not. Not only
was it rude of me not to confirm, but it also caused a great deal of
unneccessary hassle for the organisers. I would also like to
apologise to Janitors, who were not given the opportunity to take
our place and compete in the event.

I hope that this unfortunate turn of events will not stop teams from
inviting Shooting Stars to tournaments and events in the future. I
assure you that this was a one off, and will never happen again. I
look forward to meeting and seeing you all in the future, where I
can apologise in person, rather than via e-mail.

Once again, sorry for all the inconvenience caused.

Yours,

Steve Morrish
Captain, Shooting Stars
