The response to my previous message requesting assitance on the 25th has
been non-existant. Am I right in thinking that there are no London-area
players prepared to give up a few hours on a Sunday for beer and charity, in
order to introduce our sport to a captive audience, possibly recruit some
new players, and get yet more much needed publicty, potentially on a
national scale?

The weekend was specifically chosen because it was free of Ultimate
activity. The women's tournie has since been scheduled but that still
leaves a lot of players free. If you can read this and say you don't want
to see more publicity for Ultimate, you don't want more players and you
don't want to help a charity cause then congratulations. I prefer to think
that the majority of you do not think like that.

Please make a small committment and support this event. The orginal
message, with a vague outline of the event, is below.

Mark

Your mission, should you chose to accept it, is to make an Ultimate team of
enthusiastic (quite possibly drunken) charitable disc sport virgins in ten
minutes. If you are up to the challenge and available on Sunday 25th April
please read on.....

A charity event in aid of the Parkinson's Disease Society will take place on
this day in Ealing. Roughly twelve corporate teams are taking part in what
is supposed to be a relaxed, but competetive nonetheless, event. I have a
feeling there are five sports altogether, but don't have any information on
the others just yet.

It's a standard two-pool, round-robin format - each team will get to play
each other at each sport. We get only thirty minutes to explain the rules,
teach the throws and unleash them on each other.

As you will all know, there's nothing happening that weekend, and for anyone
in the London area it's really not too far to travel and IT IS FOR CHARITY!
Also, people with big mouths and lots of charisma required to charm the
attendant GQ Active and Mens Health teams into covering Ultimate/Golf.
Failing that, rich/sexy/violent people required to bribe/shag/beat them into
action.

Get in touch if you can help in any way. Cheers for reading.....
