Various individuals have gone seeking sponsorship before, with varying
(generally low) degrees of success. Not thru lack of effort mind you.

As Wayne rightly says, companies hope to get some kind of payback from
their sponsorship endeavours, and as Ultimate stands at the moment, we
have little to offer - we don't have crowds of spectators at our
tournaments; we have no television audience; and we have a tiny player
base compared to other sports.

Rather than aggressively chasing sponsorship, I think it would be better
to expend our limited energy and resources on building a solid foundation
for the sport (which is what the BUF has been working towards for years).
Ultimate then has a chance of developing into something more attractive
to sponsors.

That's my two cents, anyway.
