Sorry if this sounds a little pretentious but the reason I started and
continue to play ultimate rather than other sports is because of the
attitude of (most of) the players and the general ethos of the sport. I
like the idea that there are no referees, you don't have to be the best
and the emphasis is on having fun. Team names are all part of this
(although admittedly a very small one). I think that as the sport gets
more popular there will be more and more pressure to change its nature to
fit in with that of other sports and be more socially acceptable. I like
the sport as it is: DIFFERENT, and I don't see why we should have to
change names of teams. I understand it will limit the range of potential
sponsors but I think this is more a reflection on the publicity the sport
gets rather than names of teams.

Sunday league football teams in St. Andrews have no shortage of sponsors
even with team names like "Shafters", "Inter Ya'Ma" and "The BJ Boys".
