Subject: Re: "Overalls" are not only for DIY enthusiasts!

I think it would be good if some or all of this chat went to britdisc -
feel free to forward it there should the mood take you!

A coupla thoughts:

- few people are good at ALL the events, but trying is FUN!
- even in Sweden many people opted out of certain events
- an 'overall' tournie can feature any combination of events the TD decides
- I too am crap at Freestyle, but I had a go in Sweden and didn't come last!

I think it is only natural to feel intimidated, but that's where its
important to emphasise that newcomers and beginners are more than welcome -
the BDGA does this with every one of its Disc Golf announcements and has
even introduced some 'best novice' awards.

If any player or group of players wishes to stage an 'overall tournie' of
some kind. I would be only too pleased to help and advise - I already know
how much fun it is and I think it is best to be as 'inclusive' as possible
of all ages and standards .... lets keep talking (and practising ;-)

Cheers,
Sam.

PS I would highly recommend the newly produced instructional video from the
Freestyle Players Association (FPA) - see their website for details.
