""But the common practice in my experience is that the team that has gained
possession as a result of the disc hitting the wall does not take the disc back
to the point where the disc hit the wall. Instead the disc is simply picked up
and put into play from whatever part of the court it has ended up in just the
same as if it had been an incomplete pass.""

.In my experience, if the disc hits the wall on the pull, it is taken from the
point at which it hits the wall and is 'middled'. The same as it would if it
went out on the pull outdoors. i therefore do not see why the rule should not
apply for turnovers.
For example: If the 'O' team huck a long pass, end-zone bound, and it hits the
wall but lands in the 'D' teams end-zone, then the 'D' team are within their
rights to walk the disk back to the point of contact with the wall. They should
not be penalised yardage for the sloppy offence of the opposition.

""I have heard the occasional argument about bringing the disc back to the point
where it hit the wall but I can't think of any point in playing this way.""

.Many indoor tournaments are played in leisure centres with a dividing net
between pitches. I've never seen a disc bounce off a net! Therefore we would
need 2 separate rules. One for each side of the pitch!!

It is probably best left to the particular TD to rule as they see fit.

Merely an opinion
