ALL RIGHT .... It has taken a while but I think I have a plan for The
London team and how it might fit in with the regionals.

There will be a Friendly Fires Tournament on the 3rd of November, in the
fields south of Regent's Park (which is a Weds, I know) open to students
from London AND the SE area if you care to make it to town.

The tournament fee is a pittance at 15 pounds per team, which includes
one game disc.

Apart from the sheer madness and fun that is the Friendly Fires
Experience (read: half arsed, seat of the pants organization and lots of
embarrassed smiles) we will be selecting players for "D.O.A." which is
the so-called London Super Team - an unfortunate phrase that I coined,
but there you are. The WE doing the choosing is, thus far, me (Adam
Keen), Jolyon Thompson, Chris Berry and Alex @Junior (if you want the
responsibility). I would also invite Tim Blair to come and add some
diversity to the proceedings. The invitation extends to Spud if he would
only forgive me for standing him up and call me sometime ...

Anyway, we have three teams playing on Nov. 3 so far: PDQ, Disk Doctors,
and Under Cover Lovers, with Kings College as highly probable. We are
expecting at least 6 teams and hopefully 8 teams to respond ASAP with
definites and cheques. In case of rain or other cognate disasters, we
will try and reschedule it for the following week or provide refunds as
appropriate.

All responses should be directed to : london_ultimate@breathemail.net,
or london_ultimate@hotmail.com, preferably the former.

As it is a one day tournament, and we are trying to fit in as many games
as possible with as many different teams, the games will be short (about
an hour) and will start early and on time (naive, I know, but we are
determined!!)

Final tournament details will be posted soon, hopefully by the last few
days of October. Help from team captains, or anyone for that matter, is
greatly appreciated and needed NOW. You might all find it quite
reassuring that I am NOT putting the tournament together personally,
instead someone with a great deal of experience (40-team regional
tourneys in the US etc.) will be putting the mechanical bits together,
thanks Ward! Nevertheless, EVERYONE AND ANYONE who can make it to
Regent's Park on a Weds from 9am up until 6pm is welcome, and anyone who
intends to play for the London Super Team / SE Regionals should also
make the trip. Otherwise, how will we know who you are?

Cheers and Beers,

Adam Keen

P.S. I am out of the country from Weds 20th until Tues following, so
don't expect a reply from me in the interim.
