Dear All,

I'm glad to have sparked a discussion with my tournament report:
"It's good to talk!"

I have a comment in response to some of the things which I
inadvertantly provoked (with some help from Si Hill of course).

In my original comment, no implicit critiscism of Catch was
intended. As Si alluded to in his later message, there's a different
attitude towards Spirit, and rule-calling in Leeds than is prevelant
in Manchester, but who's to say which is right? Certainly not me.
All I was trying to say was that in the final last weekend (and
possibly before but I can't comment because I didn't personally
witness anything) the different style of play collided, and produced
some inevitable friction (as I saw it). Whether the players involved
agree or not is almost irrelevant. I saw it, and I think others did
too. Hence, I thought it was worthy of a mention.

No. I didn't see this semi-final at all (I was probably in the
canteen drowning my sorrows in English Breakfast Tea after our
pitiful performance against Bradford).

ONLY moment of confusion? Are you sure? Maybe I did watch a
dfferent final then...

I consider myself quite an outspoken member of the Ultimate
community, but you can be 100% sure that I never speak:

a) without thinking first
b) unless I feel something needs to be said
c)sometimes to be provocative

If what I witnessed at the National Indoor Finals '95 between the 2
Druids was what Neil calls a 'discussion' then I would hate to get
into an argument with one of them (unless I was properly armed). And
yes, I am a sensitive fellow and I'm proud of it. This is the reason
why I am always careful never to stress that my tournament reports
should not be regarded as the whole truth, because I know I can
never be anything other than subjective

Finally, as I said in my original posting...
> However ( I think) they were all friends at the end.
And I'm glad to hear they were :)
Love and Luck,
