The practice is open to any junior, regardless of standard. We will be playing / training both inside and out, so please bring suitable clothing / footwear. The closest Thameslink station is Harpenden - a taxi from Harpenden will cost around a fiver and will take a little over ten minutes. For a 10:30 arrival, this would mean catching either the 9.31 from Kings Cross, arriving at 9.56, or the 9.46 from Kings Cross, arriving at 10.10. >From the M25 1. Leave M25 at Junction 23 signposted A1(M) 2. Go North along the A1(M) toward Hatfield 3. Go through the Hatfield Tunnel and leave the A1(M) at Junction 4, signposted Welwyn Garden City & Wheathampstead (A6129). 4. At the exit roundabout (near Tesco's), follow the signs for Welwyn Garden City & Wheathampstead. 5. After a short stretch of dual Carriageway, turn left at the roundabout signposted Wheathampstead B653. 6. Under the A1(M) to the next roundabout follow the signs for Wheathampstead (B653). 7. After 3 miles go straight across the roundabout signposted Wheathampstead. 8. In the centre of the village turn left at the mini Roundabout (The Swan is directly opposite) and go up the hill signposted St Albans. 9. At the top of the hill, take the first turning on the right. This is Butterfield Road. 10. The Education Centre is a short way along on the left - you can't miss it - looks like a secondary school. >From the A1(M) Leave the motorway at Junction 4 and then follow directions 4-10 as above. >From A414 Follow A414 through to the Junction with the A1(M) at Hatfield. Join the A1(M) going North and go through the Hatfield Tunnel. Then follow directions 1-10 as above. >From St Albans. 1. Leave St Albans (on the Harpenden road) via the B651 (Turning Right at the Cricketers pub), signposted to Wheathampstead. 2. Go through Sandridge and across Nomansland Common [cricket pitch on left] 3. After the Wicked Lady pub, Butterfield Road is the first turning on the left up the hill. 4. At the approach to Wheathampstead, after the sharp left-hand bend, turn right into Butterfield Road. Turn right at the roundabout signposted Wheathampstead & St Albans (B651). Go through the village, taking the first available right [Church Street, just before the mini roundabout]. Go to the top of Church Street [turns into Brewhouse Hill], and take the last left before a sharp right-hand bend - Butterfield Road.
