Can someone explain why ultimate would not make good TV? As far as I can
tell the rules are ok, the pitch shape is fine and so on. There are only two
problems I can see,

1) Without referees ultimate is slower than goaltimate.

2) Goaltimate has 100% matching kits, scoreboards, time keepers and is a
whole lot more profesionallly done (not that difficult with hundereds of
dollars!) Ultimate does not have a lot of these.

Are these the only problems or can anyone see any more? If so I don't think
they are that difficult to solve. The second point is already being dealt
with. Rosters are being pushed even more and the top 8 teams are supposed to
have numbered, matching kits.

However, refs would be a problem as they are against the idea of "spirit".

As Neil has already mentoned, Will the World Games in 2001 be on TV? How are
they dealing with ultimate?

Talking to much,
Matt
