I don't read BD so often these days - but every now and again I check it
out.

Its nice to be in such exalted company as WSL! I want to shout at you,
Paul, for slagging my team, but I'll refrain. I'm quite proud that a game
we played over two years ago merits a mention though! That was a big game
for us - although we did lose.

There are so many things I can think of to say about all this - but I think
its pretty obvious that ultimate players on the whole don't want refs. For
those new folks who haven't seen the discussions before, something called
the NUA tried to TV-ise ultimate a couple of years ago with the use of refs
and a few other rule changes (several of which have now been incorporated
into ultimate I've my memory serves me correctly). If you can find all the
chat on rec.sports.disc, Britdisc and Eurodisc it may make interesting
reading.

What the hell has happened with NUA - is it still going, or did it die out
because its so hard to find 6 refs for every game?!

Incidentally, I've always thought that if you could hear what players were
saying to each other during a dispute I think it would make great TV.

Enough.

Si
