A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS

A veritable army of Ultimate players have stepped forward to help with GB's
entry for the WUGC 2000 campaign ... the latest addition being Terri
Whitehead who has agreed to act as the GB Women's Divisional Manager (DM) -
taking over the reins from Tara Jewell (to allow her to concentrate on her
studies!) ...

I wanted to take this opportunity to give due credit to ALL those who have
taken on management and support roles, including:

Aram Flores	Open DM
Terri Whitehead	Women's DM
Tara Jewell	Women's DM (Acting)
Patch Winser	Juniors' DM
Kevin Lowe	Juniors' DM (Assisting)
Wayne Davey	Masters' DM
Jeff Jackson	Mixed DM
Ian Stebbing	Admin: Finance
Suzanne Penfold	Admin: Transport
Colin Smith	Admin: Sponsorship
Sam Rey Admin: Team Kit
Nancy Stebbing	Admin: Monthly Training
Paul Unwin	Admin: Fitness Programme

plus ... the BUF Executive Officers and the various venue hosts and helpers.

With such an array of organisational talent I am confident that we shall
send a GB force to be reckoned with! If all goes to plan, we should have
almost 100 (yes, one hundred) players making the trip to Germany to
represent their country. This will be the largest contingent ever to
represent GB at a World or European (National Team) Championships.

As the date for team selection rapidly approaches, may I also wish every
success to those hoping to win a place on one of the GB teams - I'm sure
that for those who do not make it in 2000, it will only be a matter of time
before their efforts and training pay dividends.

Thanks and best wishes ...

Sam Neilson
GB National Ultimate Teams General Manager &
GB Guts Team Manager

PS Could I add that we could use further assistance with our GB Juniors: we
need helpers, managers and players (please contact
D.P.Neilson@warwick.ac.uk or patch@winser.com if you have not already made
yourself known).
