That is what we did 2 years ago and before, but it is a lot of work for the
organiser and the commitment level from people meant you had 16 people
assigned to a team and still didn't neccesarily have 7 people turn up to
play the game.  And that also made balancing the teams very difficult.  Also
a large number of people joined partway through.

So last year it was pre-formed teams, then the captain has the
responsibility of forming the team and making sure people turn up.   The
idea was that it would not be the regular Tour teams, but teams specific for
the summer league.  It seemed to work pretty well last year (although I
didn't get involved in the end).

Yes it would be possible to create a team of UTI/Catch/Doughboy players, but
you'd be bored so what's the point.  Find some freinds that want to play and
enter a fun team that will actually turn up.
