I hate people who try and guess when they can't remember, but I'll give it a shot. Initial seedings in brackets.

1 Blue Arse Flies 1 (1)
2 I'll have a D Please Bob (5)
3 CUL8R (Skunks 1) (4)
4 Night Fever 1 (6)
5 Point Blank (3)
6 Blue Arse Flies 2 (10)
7 Mr Men (2)
8 Uriel 1 (7)
9 Skunks 2 (11) Plate winners
10 Night Fever 2 (9)
11 Picnic 1 (8)
12 Picnic 2 (13)
13 Skunks 3 (15)	Spoon winners
14 Uriel 2 (12)
15 Golden Oldies (14)
16 Picnic 3 (16)

Spirit went to Skunks 3
Best Layout (pass out) to Chris Dunkley
Party award went to someone from Uriel 2

First real shock of the tournament was the initial seedings, with last year's finalists D Bob and Night Fever being seeded 5th and 6th. Thanks to there being two pools of 8, it didn't really matter. Pool A went almost according to seeding except for D Bob wiping out Point Blank (OK, I'm biased, but Point Blank did not have a great game).

Pool B was far more interesting with top seeds Mr Men playing iron person all weekend, and getting unsteadily more drunk as Saturday progressed. They ended up 4th in the pool. Upsets included Night Fever 1 beating CUL8R by a point, and BAF 2 beating Night Fever 1 by a point (CUL8R beat BAF 2 by 2 points).

All was set for a three way tie at the top until final game on Saturday saw Picnic 1 beat BAF 2 in sudden death (neither team could improve their position regardless of result due to previous losses / goal difference) but it did mean that Night Fever 1 ended up topping the pool rather than CUL8R because they had won the head to head.

Quarter finals Sunday morning produced no upsets with BAF 1, D Bob, Night Fever 1 and CUL8R all going through. Semi finals saw CUL8R lose by just a single point to BAF 1 while D Bob ran out an early lead of 5 points and traded for the rest of the game.

5-8 was resolved by Point Blank finding their form beating first Mr Men, and then BAF 2. Uriel 1 had no answer to the Mr Men's hucks to Rich, and so finished 8th.

In the bottom half, Skunks 2 had found their form and neatly dispatched everyone on route to the Plate trophy. Quick mention for the juniors playing for Night Fever 2 who were playing in their first ever tournament, and for the Fever players who helped them.

11/12 playoff saw Picnic 1 meet Picnic 2 in a bit of a grudge match, but the first team came out easy winners (as you would expect, but often doesn't happen like that).

And so to the final. D Bob never really believed they could win it (even though CUL8R had come close), but just wanted to avoid being embarrassed. BAF took an early lead, with very few offensive mistakes from either team. D Bob managed to claw their way back to 8-8, but then the mistakes crept in with a couple of drops and headrush chuckaways. Chris and Jo did a good job of keeping Merrick quiet, but that just made the rest of BAF play better.

Usual impressive layouts from Sitch, surprisingly good layout from Alan, and great 'OOF!' noise from Chris Hughes as he laid out (but missed). Flies ran out eventual winners 15-10 in the 40 minutes final, having capitalised better on D Bob's mistakes. Can't remember many calls other than Chris Berry calling strip on Chris Hughes which got the crowd going. Great final to play in, no idea how it looked to everyone else. Sorry we never took the lead to give the crowd more to shout about.

Kevin.
