There have been some 'I need to know more...' queries,
so here are some answers:

Tour 1 is on April 29+30

The tournament venue is:
The Allied Dunbar Conference and Training Centre,
        King Edwards Place,
        Liddington/Wanborough
approx 6 miles East of Swindon.

The Tournament Directors are Layout Dreams (Wayne Retter and Chris
Hughes), contactable by email to LayoutDreams@egroups.com (see later in
message before hassling us further!)

A FEW WORDS OF WARNING:
This time around, there are a distinct lack of the on-site luxuries
normally associated with this venue:

        ROOMS are NOT AVAILABLE
DINING HALL (Saturday dinner) is NOT AVAILABLE
THE BAR ('Party Venue') is NOT AVAILABLE
THE PUB within staggering distance is CLOSED ON SATURDAY

therefore, teams that hope to enter should bear in mind that they need
to sort out food, and potentially accommodation.

I am still struggling to confirm availability of:
the Campsite, (I'm working to secure this as a priority!)
        St John Ambulance crew,
        Massage team

WE DO have the basics:
        Pitches,
        Showers,
        Water supply,
        Pitchside bar (and BBQ)

That's honesty for ya....

For accommodation, pub, and 'where to eat' guides for Swindon, contact:
        Swindon Information Centre
        37 Regent Street
        Swindon

        fax: 01793-434031

THE TOUR {VERY UNofficial}

Hopefully, Chris Hughes (BUF Director of Competitions) will issue
packages (by snail-mail) to all teams registered with the BUF,
containing the OFFICIAL, CORRECT and EXACT details that I've outlined
below, and the updated Tour Rules.

There should also be details of where to send the DEPOSITS,

and hopefully an entry form detailing where and how much to send to
Layout Dreams for Tour 1.

It is MY understanding that the Tour will not be too dissimilar from
previous years.

To enter the Tour it will be necessary to SUBMIT A ROSTER,
preferably via the ***NEW*** BUF online system.

To ENTER an event it will be necessary to:
1) MEET DEADLINES (usually 1 month before event) to PAY A DEPOSIT to the
BUF;
2) MEET DEADLINES (set by TD, approx 3-4 weeks before event) to PAY
ENTRY FEE to TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS.
3) AWAIT CONFIRMATION of entry - it's possible that you may meet these
deadlines but not qualify for other reasons (Tour Ranking may kick in
here...).

Obviously, the 'one month before the Event' deadlines for Tour 1 are
NOW, so hopefully we'll all hear from Chris in the next few days.

Wayne
