Subject: PR Copy - Which is rumour, which is true ?

I have played ultimate for about ten years and have never sorted out the
nuggets of PR gold from the urban myths. I am writing some PR copy for a
forthcoming exhibition event in Bridgnorth in April 16th.

So I would like to hear your comments on which of these is rumour and which
is true (and any other little gems in terms of courting mainstream
acceptance that I may not have picked up):

A) Frisbee was used by the British Army for training. Particular virtues of
the game include development of hand to eye co-ordination, thinking as a
team and superior cardio-vascular / aerobic elements of the game.

B) Frisbee has been on the five-sport shortlist for the Olympics for the
past three Games. Despite the uniquely olympic nature of the sport it has
never made it, through lack of exposure to the general public.

PS Sammy has just sent me a similar gem (it was meant to be a demonstration
sport for LA. & Is listed as a sport for the World games 2001.)

C) Frisbee is a recognised college sport in the USA and a curriculum school
sport in Scandinavia.(which countries or all?)

D) A regulation frisbee holds three pints of beer (I have to pretend I do
not know the answer to that one)

Thank you very much for your time,

Patrick Thomas

PS Quick as you can - the first of the copy deadlines is Monday
