Just a brief report, as I'm sure someone else should be writing this (Come on Lemming)

The number of teams competing continued to drop until just 12 teams turned up on
the Saturday (4 of those from Picnic). Darren handled the stress of running his first
tournament well, and had plenty of support from the rest of Picnic.

Format was round-robin, 18 minute games, with the top two playing out the final. First
day provided a few upsets, with Tribal/Discult beating Headrush and Mythago, and
Mythago beat Mr. Men and held Shrug (Oxford A) to a draw.

The second day had less upsets, but some very close games between Mr. Men and
Headrush (6-5) and Picnic 2 drew with Picnic 1. Shrug continued to brush aside all
challengers, and finished the round-robin well on top. The other final spot went to Mr.
Men who finished level with Tribal/Discult, but had beaten them in the head to head.

The final was played on a no-walls pitch (the same one where Regulators lost to
Druids back in 94 that Doug recently mentioned). Shrug outscored Mr. Men two to
one, and won the final 16-8 (ish). Lee won an 'action man' for MVP. Mythago had a
landslide win for spirit (nice Train Spotting call).

Final Positions.
1 Shrug
2 Mr. Men
3 Tribal Discult
4 Headrush
5 Mythago (Spirit)
6 Sharks
7 Picnic 1
8 Uriel 1
9 Picnic 2
10 Picnic 3
11 Picnic 4
12 Uriel 2

Top 5 qualify for finals, but wait, here come some pathetic excuses. Mr. Men can't
make it, and neither can Tribal Discult (poor excuses about already being booked up
that weekend, having no transport, and having no money). So, Sharks and Picnic 1
are both off to Edinburgh.

Kevin.

| Q. Which is the greater problem in the world today, Ignorance or Apathy?
| A. I don't know, and I really don't care!
