At last!

I, too, would like to thank Nancy for bothering to make the effort. And
Ian for providing whatever support and assistance he could when the need
arose.

For those of us that played, or didn't, it happened, and it wasn't as
much fun as it could have been. For Nancy and Ian, they've got to re-
negotiate with the venue..., which won't be easy, and definitely won't
be fun.

I'd like to hope that this setback will not dissuade Nancy from
continuing to be involved in the whole organisational structure of
Ultimate, and even dare to hope that she may even make the effort to
host another tournament.

If she does make that effort again, I'd expect the rest of us to trust
that she has learned any necessary lessons, and be there.

As British Ultimate grows, it needs more tournaments, with directors and
venues. We don't really appear to be encouraging them.

As for the evolution of the Tour, and/or UK Ultimate in general, the
Tour was designed on principles focussed on a specific sector of players
in mind, and a fuzzy boundary for how those principles could be
extended. It seems more than apparent that those fuzzy boundaries are at
full stretch. If anyone has sensible propositions for the evolution of
UK Ultimate, think them through properly, and submit them to the BUF.
Ideally they need to be submitted now, 'cos it's near enough time to
start trying to arrange the 2001 calendar...
