Unfortunately Durham is an unusual case. The arrangement between the
Provider of sporting facilities and the Athletic Union is complicated.

When it comes to marking out pitches and hiring courts the sports centre can
afford to be choosy. They love to host antiques fairs, but aren't so keen to
host anything that requires use of pitches. They are a centre of excellence
for Cricket so people running all over their lovely grass is very upsetting.

Having said that we may be able to gain access to these beautiful pitches at
some point. Gentle persuasion and building up to larger events is working
well at the moment. Hopefully we'll be in a position to bid for a major
event for the outdoor season next year.

Look forward to seeing you all up in Durham at some point. Soon to be the
greatest outdoor Ultimate location in the NORTH of England.

Paul
