    tom,

there is a difference between a gripe and raising a legitimate
concern about the quality of tournaments and the value for money the
Ultimate players of this country should expect.

I am simply asking a question based on (a) common sense (b) having run
numerous tournaments (c) what I expect from a tournament. Maybe my
expectations are high, but I would be interested to know what minimum
standards the U8C have set for tournaments and where I can obtain a copy of
the document.

Again, I am not griping, just trying to promote a resonable debate on
this important subject.

Or would you prefer that we bury our heads in the sand and accept what
we are given without question?

agreed, but when used in the context of arguing an important point it
becomes detrimental.

    Paul

ps - I saw this great carpark. nice even surface, but a bit gravelly. I
was thinking about this for a tournament next year. After all, ultimate
began in a car park. It's called the 'Back to Basics' tournament
