I am aksing for a reasoned debate on the subject.

the last I heard, in a democracy, resoned intelligent debate is a way to
move things forward.

I am simply asking what kind of quality control the u8c implements.

    ah! the exuberance of youth!

Britdisc is a forum for discussion of all aspects of Disc sports.

Please feel free to start a seperate thread. There are hundreds of
people (myself included) who have been part of the successful running of
University clubs. Start by asking.

In the meantime, my concern still stands.

If you want to know what I want to see - fine. We get enough 'lets
penalise teams blah blah blah..." How about penalising TD's for not
delivering the goods.

    eg -

crap pitches - knock £10 quid off the entry fee

no food available - knock off a fiver

cold showers - knock off a fiver

No showers - knock off a tenner

no party -knock off a fiver

I am sick and tired of going to tournaments, having something cock
up because the TD didn't make a simple phone call to ensure that a service
was guaranteed, we don't get what we pay for, but the TD''s still end up
cleaning up and we STILL end up paying 80/ 90/ 100 quid for less than
brilliant service.

Bloody hell, can you imagine going to Rotterdam and having the bar shut!
there'd be uproar! The AirBreakers had the right idea - they couldn't do it
100% so than rather compromise, they cancelled!

The powers that be are all for penalising teams for not showing.

How about penalising TD's for NOT GETTING THE JOB DONE!!!

You will then argue 'but then no- one will organise a tournament'

maybe - but those who DO will make damn sure they get it RIGHT!!!

        rant over.

                Paul
