<snip the endless bickering>

1 - I don't play for a UK team anymore - if you think I have no right to air
my views - fine - stop reading and delete this.

2 - I honestly applaud Catch for their decision - risking injury to play is
foolhardy.

3 - There may be legitimate issues with the awarding of points and seedings,
but it would be silly to ignore that Catch are definitely a better team than
12th, from what I can tell, the BUF has come to a reasoned, logical
conclusion about the whole affair. Seeing as the Tour is a BUF sanctioned
series, they are the arbiters - their decision stands.

4 - There may be concerns with the whole TD thing - but knowing both Nancy
and Ian for a fair time, I know that they would not have knowingly booked
crappy pitches, Especially when the racecourse had made it known that they
would like to be a primary pitch supplier... (see previous posts to Britdisc
by Nancy).

5 - Perhaps there should be a location providing committee from BUF that can
look for fields - I know that Layout Dreams did a lot of research for the
Swindon site (and that's been running for what 5 years now?). Southampton
is superlative, also... Maybe what is needed is a team of people to go to
Universities and other large sites (I know a bunch of public schools have
large sports fields - e.g. Wellingborough school), and approach them. This
would have 3 benefits - a) you'd get the fields that you want b) the BUF
would become a more recognised organisation outside of Ultimate c) You'd
probably see more people coming to the sport - especially if you managed to
get academic institutions involved.

That's it, I'll shut up now, and go back to the other side of the atlantic
