Hello Britdisc-ers -

If you're getting ready for Worlds, this probably won't interest you, but...

The 10th Open Tournament at Notre-Dame de Monts has been announced for 28th
July - 3rd August. There's a different format this year - it's going to be
'frisbee sans frontieres' - sort of an international hat. So this year the
tournament is open to all-comers rather than by invite only.

Registration cost is 100FF, and for that you'll get free accommodation
(camping, natch), food and evening entertainments - all you have to do is
play one hour-long game each night... oh, and be prepared to teach/introduce
frisbee to the local French kids for a couple of hours each afternoon.

Spaces are limited as there's only six teams of twelve. If you're
interested, go to the website

http://mairie-notre-dame-de-monts.fr

and register. You'll be notified if you're in or not.

And then... if you'd like a scenic warm-up, is there anyone interested in
making a fortnight of it and cycling to the tournament with us? We did this
last year and it was a blast; average of 40-50 miles a day, camping en
route, eating al fresco. The plan at the moment is to travel by train to
Paris and then cycle from Notre-Dame Paris to Notre-Dame de Monts. Which is
281 miles according to my routefinder. You could cycle back as well (time
permitting) or get the train all the way.

If you're up for it, please contact me at

jimbob@jimson.demon.co.uk

or on 07976 720001

and remember - " Ou est le disque? - le disque est dan's l'arbres"

Cheers - Jim McDonnell
