The venue was inspected three times- each time after a week's worth of
rain. As you played on Sunday- I'm sure you can see how the surface changes
with just a little rain. Towcester racecourse is a well respected venue
and conference centre- and when they said the pitches would be rolled
several times and cut- I beleived them.

With the need for large venues- you have a couple of choices:
1. Use only venues you have used before. Hasn't been working too well so far.
2. Use only venues that are specifically sports venues- and try to find
space between the football, cricket and baseball seasons/leagues. Again-
not working too well so far.
3. Find a new venue with a good reputation and see what they can do.
Obviously a problem this time, but may work in the future.

If you have any other suggestions or venues to use, I'm sure the U8
committee would be happy for you (and anyone else) to pitch in and organize
somehting yourself.

Be my guest....

Yeah- sorry about that- with the number of BUFe vents rising, the cones
were in several different parts of the country, and didn't all arrive in
time for the start. I did my best to get them out as soon as I got them.
