There seem to have been a lot of problems with the
directions sent to teams in the post, so enclosed below are
directions to Tour 3 in Southampton this weekend.

There is also a map in Word '97 format I can send to those
who request it, but it is a large file and I won't clog up
everyones e-mail accounts by sending it to Britdisc.

See you all at the weekend

> From the West

· Approach Southampton Eastbound on the M27
· Turn off at Junction 5. Signposted 'A335' and 'Airport'
· Take first exit off roundabout. Signposted 'Sports
Grounds' and 'Chandlers Ford' · There is a no left turn, to
the road you want so you will need to go about a mile up
the round and do a U-turn at the mini-roundabout at the
end. · Heading back towards the motorway, turn right into
Stoneham Lane. Signposted 'St Nicolas Church' and 'Sports
Grounds' · Follow bend round and Entrance to Wellington is
on the right immediately after the church.

>From the East

· Approaching Southampton Westbound on the M27
· Turn off at Junction 5. NB. There is no junction 6.
· Take the third exit off the roundabout northbound.

· Approaching Southampton Southbound on the M3
· Follow the M3 all the way to its end where it turns into
the M27 · Stay to the right and take the M27 East

By Rail

Southampton Airport Parkway is the nearest station. It is
opposite Wide Lane and a ten/fifteen minute walk from
Wellington. To walk to Wellington turn left out of the
main terminal building and turn right at the roundabout.
At the next roundabout take the first right. Then take the
first left and follow the road round. Wellington is on the
right straight after the church. Alternatively you could
walk across Wide Lane and use the stile in the back right
hand corner as you look at it from the station. Once over
the style cross the stream and take the road almost
straight ahead, Wellington is on your right round the bend.
Alternatively there should be Taxis coming and going to
pick up the commuters from the London trains. You want
Wellington Sports Ground, Stoneham Lane.
