What image first attracted you to Ultimate?

Was it 1) A highly competitive team sport played by a dedicated band of athletes
or....

2) A laid back 'alternative' mixed sport played mainly for the fun and social
aspect rather than competitively (and with a frisbee for heaven's sake!).

I bet 2 is the most common answer for most people - in which case the article
may actually be quite helpful. I have to agree though - I wish it did mention
the competitive side a bit more.

I guess 2 appeals to non-sporty people (who have the potential to discover
sport) and 2 appeals to sporty people who in all probability are already happily
playing a different sport!

Don't knock the 'not-serious' image - it is one of ultimate's main selling
points. If you want to recruit athletes you have to start in schools like all
the other sports - I wish we could do this more.

Ben
