Follows a couple of quotes from The Times Higher Education Supplement 22nd
September 2000. "New Calls for New Balls"

Starts:

"Figures show that competitive sports are attracting more students than
ever. And the growth is not just in the traditional team sports - there's
been an explosion in minority and womens sports too says Jennifer Currie"

important excerpt :

. . . BUSA hopes to add sports such as Ultimate frisbee and American
Football to its repetoire in the near future. . . .

the article later quotes Nathan Homer the BUSA Student Vice Chair
I assume that this may come from him.

I think the BUF should follow this up. I know there has been considerable
argument in the past about the pros and cons of BUSA affiliation. There is
no doubt in my mind that it would be a step forward to more widespread
recognition of our sport.

I would assume that this should really be discussed on the student list.
maybe someone can forward it to the list.
