	Roger,

ahhhhhh, you're breaking my heart. If you are seeded 1 and 2 in
your pool, then you have already demonstrated that you as a team have
skill and should therefore finish high up. Consequently in theory (note:
in *theory*) it shouldn't matter a toss when you play. If it does, then we
are not taking our National Championships at all seriously, are we?
And the only "crunch" factor is that you have a slightly easier route to
the final if you finish 1. If you finish 2, you still go through.
Admittedly you could have a mare against the number 3's but we are talking
*in theory*

 Sammy's other point about saving
> the most important games 'til later for suspense and excitement is also a

agreed. that is valid. But suspense and excitement for who?
Spectators? maybe, but I generally wait for semis and quarters to watch.
Pool games - well, there are just so *many* of them (wearing my spectator
hat, one well worn over the last nine years). The interesting ones are
semi's + finals (as I've ususally finished playing by then. Something that
yourself as a Shotgunner will have failed over the years to
appreciate....)

That is my only response becasue of the above points mentioned.
However, in view of the overwhelming concern over this I will attempt to
get this switched around.

	> Then I just hope to hell you aren't organising the outdoor nationals!

Gadzooks! that smarts! Pass the savlon, I have a cut from that
razor wit!

oh, btw, I'm not "organising" I'm "co-ordinating". subtle
difference.

> Scotland knows better huh? And I didn't mean you Scott.

Oh dear dear dear dear dear dear DEAR!!!

'Differently' (see my last posting), don't mean 'better', it just
means different. As in not the same. Like those new salt'n'vinegar McCoys,
are different to the old ones and are better.

But I guess the Status Quo must be upheld (and at their age, I'm
not surprised.)

	Paul.
