Hello All,
For those who didn’t make it to Warwick over the weekend you maybe
interested to know that it was the first outing for a new project. “Block
Stack and Two Smoking Hammers” are a group of ultimate players trying to
push the sport forward, by covering the event Sky Sports style.

After a few technical problems on Saturday, which we always intended to use
as an experiment, the Block Stack crew was busy on Sunday morning setting up
our three cameras, and equipment for editing and recording the game and the
live commentary.
At the end of the day we took orders for videos, which cost £10 each.

Our aim for the weekend was to see if there was demand for a video, and to
see if it was possible to produce something professional on a limited budget
and little experience. I think every one who came up and saw what we were
doing would agree that the output was professional, all of the players at
Warwick also proved that there is plenty of demand.

I’d like to thank the Block Stack team, Martin Cross (Editor), Ian Duckling
(Camera and Technical) Andy Brown (Camera and Technical) and our guest
camera men Jamie (Bears) and Graham(Baboom) for their silky skills. Thanks
also to Tim and Cat from Mwnci and all the team captains for their help with
players names, to everyone who parted with money to support the venture, and
finally to Meg and the Bears for their tolerance, support, and
encouragement.

We originally planed to edit the tournament down to 90 minutes but we
figured that you guys know how to use a fast forward button so you can do
your own editing. As a result the tape now include 5-12 minute sections of
the last four semis and at least 8 minutes of all the finals including most
of the Grand Final, we also tacked on some interviews from around the
tournament. Final total 2h 30mins. A snip at only £10.

If you’d like to order a video please send a cheque for £10 payable to Tom
Styles to:

151b Main Street,
Woodborough,
Nottingham,
NG14 6DD

Don’t forget to enclose your return address and an email address so we can
confirm your money has arrived. We aim to send out the videos within ten
working days of receiving your money.

If you’d like to invite us to your tournament (we can’t promise), or would
like to contact us about anything else, please feel free to write to
blockstack@hotmail.com

Regards to all,
Tom Styles (Producer and Commentator)
