I think the suggestion about a lowered price for Student teams sounds
perfectly reasonable. I would also say that it is fairly offensive to imply
that student teams are not as "serious" about playing as the "adult" teams
just because they are asking for a lower entry fee. I would hazard a guess
that it's because of lack of funds that many student teams do not play in
the tour, also when I was as student the Tour takes place over the Final
exams period and the fact that so many student players turn up is a
testimony to their commitment.

Should you discount an enitre team just because they struggle to get 8/9
members because the rest have exams? or should we be encouraging that kind
of commitment and enthusiasm for OUR sport rather than telling them to go
back to the playground? There are some brilliant student players around,
why the hell should they have to go and play for an other team rather than
their own just because they couldn't afford to enter?

Seems a bit of dumb argument to me.

Good suggeastion Mark (Phat Ed's)....maybe a bit of support is in order from
the rest of us.
