Venues cost money. Do you honestly think that Chris and whoever else make
the decisions about hosting Tour events have the luxury of picking bids on
the basis of cost.

There aren't that many suitable venues out there and there aren't many
people willing to organise events. If there were then cost could be one of
the factors taken into consideration. Yes it's a pain when the showers are
cold and yes it's annoying that costs are going to go up. But it's unlikely
that there were many viable alternatives. Would you rather there was no
Tour at all.

The cost may put students off but split between a team of 8 you're only
talking about an extra £10 a player. There may be exceptions but generally
everyone ( even students ) who really want to play will be ablt to save up
that amount extra every 3 or 4 weeks

Those that put bids together should be applauded for their hard work.

More bids = more competition = lower costs.

Rob
