I do realise the effort, or rather I can probably guess at a fraction of
the effort, it takes to organise the tour and the problems of suitable
venues etc... but for a student a tournament during term time
usually costs about £20, this includes the entry fee and
transportation to and from the tournament. This is because we are
able to hire minibuses/share cars as we are all coming from the
same area i.e the university.
The tour being out of term time (understandably for the climatic
conditions) is not that cheap. The entry fees may not be
unreasonable in themselves however the transportation costs
increase dramatically as we usually have to get there individually
and from all over the country. In my case I would estimate that the
travel last year cost an additional £45 for each event.

Do we (students) have to suffer this increased cost or are we forced
to play for a team other than the one with our friends who's abilities
we know, that we have been training with three times a week, have
played with in tournaments over the rest of the year and who's
tactics we know well?
Can a student discount to compensate for this added cost not be
seriously considered?

In writing this I am not asking for it this year/now I realise all the
arrangements are made etc.. but am merely adding my vote to
question put forward, as I very much doubt I will be able to afford
the time/costs of attending this years AGM.
