Max p.s. Tom, I don't know Dan so can't comment one way or another as to his personality. I only felt the tone of his e-mail was "a little arrogant" nothing more. p.p.s. Last you'll hear from me as I have other things to get on with and I think I've made my point. -----Original Message----- From: White, Tom [mailto:tom.white@ic.ac.uk] Sent: Wednesday, February 28, 2001 12:26 PM To: 'Max Keogh ' Subject: RE: WINNERS DONT USE DRUGS yo, well, mebbe dan is an arogant nasty guy, but whatever. there IS a big difference between tournaments in this country, and its pretty obvious which ones are serious, and which are more like freinds organising a weekend of fun. If you know your tourny is gonna be attended by kids and their parents and be videod, it prolly wouldn't be a good idea to promote illegal activities in the prizes. But if you know all the people going are adults, and they know what they are letting themselves in for, I can't see a problem. It would be foolish to harm the fun spirit of certain tournaments by restricting everyone to a kinda "strict" format where the prizes are always cups or badges etc. This sort of thang could result in tournaments being drug and alchohol free zones, which can't be a good thing. Do people not think that by having a party on saturday night, they are encouraging kids in the sport to get drunk, and have fun. No one's complained about that before, and its just as illegal to drink under aged as it is to take drugs. Anyways, have fun! laters tom (S&G) ps, snoochie boochie woochies
