Sam will be sending a tournament report but before that
I thought I should send one out to thank everyone that
contributed to the 2nd Annual Copa Cabana. We couldn't
have pulled this off without them...

The Cast in Order of Appearance...

Sam who worked 24 hours a day holding the whole event together
and for all of the work he did in advance of the event to make
it all happen. Thanks also the those who helped in the prep as
well since as much as he tries, Sam didn't do it all alone.

Jim and company at the Notts Moderns RFC who were absolutely
amazing. They contributed so much beyond the call of duty to help
everything run smoothly and are now 100% into helping to grow
Ultimate in Nottingham. As a result of success of the tournament
they have offered the venue as our permanent practice area.

Joh who was up at the crack of dawn each day picking up and
returning the transit Van and without complaint drove things and
people all over Nottingham the whole weekend.

Dani and Emma for the stunning decor of the Copa itself. I heard
many compliments from people about it.

Jim, Neil, Alan, Vince, Joy and Dene, and probably a couple I'm
forgetting, for setting up the Copa tent.
It is a bit of a nightmare getting that thing up.

Vito and Ben for working out the pitches and sizes and marking
the lines given the constraints of the venue.

Chopper, Rob, Ben and Martin the DJs.
Ben and Martin are playing on the 13th of Sept in Notts. Possibly
at the Maze if you wish to hear more.
Trickster the band who played a stunning set
We hope all of you will be back next year.

The BBQ team
Vince for being superman on the BBQ. Was it 10 hours straight?
Dene. Superb BBQ work as well. Nice BBQ apron thing.
Dan S. The ultimate salesman
Marco "How about a discount for one of the founding members of
Nottingham Ult..."
    Dan S "NO FUCK OFF!"
Too many to mention so thanks to Emma, Olly G, Tom, Steffi, Neil, Jim and
countless others who took a shift keeping the eternal BBQ flame burning.

Neil and Steve for organising the Hat tournament which we forgot
to charge any money for. Oops.

And lastly to those who helped with the Cleanup. Names that come
to mind are Neil, Jim, Ben, Steff, Joh, Tom, Vince, Joy, Emma, Dene
and a loads of people from various teams that helped with the
deconstruction of the Copa.

Thanks to everyone who came. Apologies for the slow/late start. My fault
since
I was driving about Nottingham running errands with all of the schedules in
my back seat. Oops again.

Apologies if I missed anyone. I'm feeling a bit groggy today.

We hope to see a bigger and more ridiculously fun event go on next year
and we hope you'll all want to be ...at the Copa... Copa Cabana!
