Some 'open' questions for anyone standing for positions on the
'board'....please,
..and they're all about medical cover!
1.Where do you place the provision of medical cover in your plans for the
future of UKUltimate?
2. Should the provision of medical facilities at an official UKU Tournament
have a defined and mandatory level? (are athletes entitled to expect expert
medical cover at an official Tournament and could he/she successfully sue if,
after paying to enter, he/she was injured as a result of lack of facilities?)
3. What level of medical/sports medicine/physio cover does UKU want at
national level. At what point might UKU wish to employ its medical cover
(I've never charged, but if Ultimate gets increasingly 'professional' then
money will have to enter the equation as the medical support team will almost
certainly be taking this sort of job/employment as their primary source of
working income)
4. Does UKU at national level want pre-competition medical/fitness screening?
5. Where do you stand on the isue of drugs in sport? Should UKU have plans to
incorporate specific rules regarding drugs/drug testing.

Thanks

Paul
